70 Personnel Handle Fire in Kelapa Gading

A fire burned 10 temporary houses on Jalan Pelepah Raya RW 05, Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village, Kelapa Gading District. As many as 70 personnel of North Jakarta and Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency were deployed to extinguish the fire.

He explained that the personnel arrived at the scene by 1:50 PM. The fire was already big. The personnel successfully managed the fire in 30 minutes.
"This fire incident is thought to have been caused by a short circuit in one of the temporary houses while workers were working," he explained.
Gatot added that there were no fatalities or injuries in this incident. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation by authorities.
"The extinguishing was completed at 3:21 PM," he added.
Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Christian appreciated the quick handling run by the personnel.
According to him, residents had tried to extinguish the fire using whatever tools were available, but failed. Instead, the fire grew larger, making it difficult to control.
"Thanks to the personnel for handling the fire quickly," he admitted.
